Hello! I’m Jake, and this is my wife, Emily. We moved to Kolkata in 2018 and instantly fell in love with the vibrant people and rich culture. We were excited about raising our family in an environment that differed from our upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia.

When it came time to choose a school for our children, we faced a dilemma. We were dissatisfied with the traditional education model—characterized by rote memorization and long hours at a desk, stifling creativity and critical thinking. While our world continues to evolve, education seems stuck in the past.

Amidst our search, we discovered Acton Academy! It’s a place where children are seen as heroes, capable of achieving remarkable things.
